Fires are a huge problem in the world. People don’t understand what fires can do to people and their homes. I will be talking about all kinds of fires and the fires that are going on around the world right now, for example the Australia fires. I will also talk about how these fires harm us, animals, and our environment. There are five main types of fires. Fires can be classified in five different ways depending on the agent that fuels them: Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D, and Class K. Each type of fire involves different flammable materials and requires a special approach. Fires can harm us humans because they destroy people’s homes, they harm people and kill people, and they pollute the world. Fires also harm animals, they harm them mostly through destroying their habitat. Fires often cause short term increases in wildlife foods that contribute to increases in populations of some animals. Lastly Fires can harm our environment because it is deadly, it destroys homes, wildlife habitat and timber, and polluting the air with emissions harmful to human health, and fire’s effect on the landscape may be long lasting. Some might be wondering how fires pollute the air, well wildfires release large amounts of carbon dioxide, black carbon, brown carbon, and ozone precursors into the atmosphere. These emissions affect radiation, clouds, and climate on regional and even global scales. Wildfires affect air quality. Most people know about the fires that was going on in Australia, but some might not know how it started. Some of the fires started by lighting, some by human actions, including arson. The reason that the fires can grow and spread is because of the climate conditions, they provide ample fuel for the fires. Much of the severe heat was accompanied by brisk winds across much of Australia, which exacerbates fire risks and spreads blazes. The Australia government is offering new help to people who have lost their homes and others affected by bushfires that have burned millions of acres of land. At least 25 people have died in the fires, which have brought historic levels of destruction. Some might wonder how long the Australia fires lasted for, well they lasted for 79-210 days. Also some might ask how many acres did the Australia fires destroy and the answer to that was approximately 13.3 million acres or 5.4 million hectares of land, in the country’s most populous state. Lastly you guys can see that fires are very dangerous and should not be messed with, I hope this blog has showed you teached you guys about fires.
